im in seattle, trick

i've been in seattle for 2.5 weeks. heading back to downtown LA on the 15th... and i simply couldnt be more excited.

so much awaits me when i get back home, however it has been rather lovely catching up with old friends and creating new memories here.

i can definitely say i'm going to miss my hometown, however... i honestly miss dtla more and more with each passing moment.

Maison Michel, a millinery genius who produces the most sensational hats for the worlds most notable fashion houses. In the 1980s, Pierre Cardin was the first to take Maison’s talent and spread the love. Dior, Givenchy and Yves Saint Laurent were next in line. Later, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Yohji Yamamoto, Christian Lacroix and Kenzo, amongst many others, discovered the millinery devotion of this creative soul.

i had a dream...

an out of body experience.
in this dream i flew alongside willy wonka, above the streets of downtown los angeles.

it was the first time i've achieved flying in a dream. usually i fall. this time i flew and it was sort of like swimming. and i was happy.

people were mad at me for flying, though. their negativity brought me down, literally grounded me. so, i made a speech.

i dared people to think positive. to dream big. to wish for more. to do all their heart desires.

and then i was baptized by super models.

“Make a radical change in your lifestyle & begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances & yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, & conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, & hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new & different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security & adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning & its incredible beauty.” — Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild.
